Year 8 Netball Team win against Campion

The year 8 Netball Team took a tough win against Campion on Thursday 11th October 2018.

The girls did not get off to a great start and were losing in the first quarter 1-4 to Campion. Each quarter of the match the girls improved their performance and as a result they fought from behind to finally win 7-6. Mae Quinney was nominated player of the match from the opposition and quite rightly achieved; she worked so hard throughout the matchconstantly moving up and down the court to link the attack and defence. Emily Levitt was brilliant in defence, she displayed such a gutsy performance and made some outstanding interceptions. Holly Hart and Ruby Jackson worked well in the circle and managed to score in the windy conditions. Milly Hathaway was fantastic, she really controlled the game well and made some brilliant interceptions. Ellie Miller and Abbie Mawby were great in attack helping to feed the ball into the shooters. Amelia Blumberger and Flo Parry worked well in defence, blocking shots and intercepting key passes to gain possession. All in all they worked well as a team and showed true resilience to make a come back right up to the final quarter.

Well done to you all, Miss Evans.

Well done girls – true fighting spirit to come back and win a close encounter. Keep working together and you will grow as a team. Mr Elkerton
