Girl’s football first league matches

A mixed set of results at the first of the Girl’s football league matches.

The U15 team had an extremely successful night with 3 wins out of 3. First game against Campion saw Kacie Morby score a hatrick an the team win 3-0, Poppy Lummis pulled off some outstanding shots to ensure that Southam finished with a clean sheet. The second match against Aylesford saw Sarah Costa put one past the keeper which was enough for the victory. Olivia Constable and Niamh Purnell helped to keep a clean sheet. Final game against Myton, probably the toughest match saw Sarah again saving the day for another 1-0 victory.

Both U13 team’s had two tough matches. The year 8 team played a Myton team and unfortunately let 1 goal in to lose 1-0, however the team fought right to the end with Abbie Bourton and Poppy Hilton continuing to battle with the Myton players however they couldn’t claw a goal back. The final game saw the girls lose to a Aylesford team 2-0. The year 7 team had an equally tough night in their first match they went down 2-0 to a very good Myton team – even with some fab saves from Amy Stanley. Second match saw the girls work together and secure a 1-1 draw against Aylesford with the goal coming from Gracie’s corner and deflecting off one of the defenders.

Well done tonight, hopefully another good turn out next week.
